Softline sandals and mules all use the material Carbosan in their insoles. This is a material with many benefits. It has what is described as "memory effect" which means that after every step the Carbosan returns to its original form. This reduces the effect of your insole becoming worn down. In fact the insoles are virtually indestructable!

Sometimes insoles can get a bit smelly... does this happen in your Softline sandals?!
Inevitably foot odour can create a problem, but it is very rare in the case of Fidelio Carbosan insoles. This is because the active carbon in the insoles actually reduces foot odour. The Carbosan insoles are breathable due to the open cell foam structure, and they are also antibacterial. If you do want to take them out to wash however, they are washable at 30 degrees. The Carbosan insoles are covered with leather, and are soft and comfortable to wear. The insoles are also designed with a deep-cupped heel, this is to prevent the need for your toes to "grasp" at the end of the sandals when walking, a common problem for people wearing mules.
