In the autumn of 2006 FIDELIO® launched its first HALLUX FIDELIO® collection, a range of sophisticated sandals incorporating an ingenious stretch insert for bunions. From the outset this collection was a great success and we were able to win many new customers.

Since then many retailers have suggested that we add a ladies loafer, with the ingenious stretch insert for bunions, to this collection. In April 2009, having carried out extensive Market research, we started working on the “Hallux Loafer” project. Building upon our "FIDELIO® philosophy" we developed a combination last in width E that incorporates a slimmer heel. This last was continually adapted and improved until it was Perfected.

It was unbelievable with what ease our “Hallux model“, Mrs Ulrike “Uli” Ecker, slipped into our sample shoe and spontaneously praised its fit! A sigh of relief was heard all round! We were very happy and are already convinced that The first FIDELIO® Loafer collection is ready to be launched onto the market.

Fidelio Widens its Appeal and proves to be a welcomed niche in the market...

Fidelio is an Austrian producer of wide fitting mules, sandals and clogs for the comfort shoe market.

Now in its second year in the UK, Fidelio will be showing the latest collection at the forthcoming Moda Show, stand FK18.

Evercare who are the UK distributors for Fidelio have successfully penetrated the market using the unique Hallux Bunion sandal, which is now recommended by over 1000 Health care Professionals. Hallux provides a proven solution to the common Bunion foot problem. In addition to many other features, the sandals have a stretchable insert that significantly relieves pressure upon bunions.

The Fidelio range is made from top quality materials that feature anatomically designed insoles and anti-slip, shock absorbent, air cushioned insoles.

Michael Woolf, Sales Director comments that consumers have realised that this type of Footwear need not look unrefined, this has meant we now have an increased number of outlets.

Proving a unique selling point for retailers in a difficult market is essential, as is customer service. Our stock programme has allowed retailers to limit their risk with no minimum orders and a full stock backing in the UK, again in an uncertain market this is vital.
